Trip {sighing}: Ah wish Cap'n would turn up the thermostat -- the halls are awful drafty.
Malcolm: But think of your fans, Commander. They
do so enjoy glimpses of your lovely --
Archer: Lieutenant! This is a PG-13 website!
Malcolm: -- knees. He's got quite fetching knees, don't you agree,
Captain?
Trip: Fetch me some aspirin, wouldja, Mal? Ah
definitely feel a headache comin' on.

July 4,
2006: Happy Fourth! Fourth Birthday to TripHammered,
that is. :) No revamp for this anniversary, since TrinneerHammered
is just a subsection and not (yet) worth a promotion to
the nav bar. As always, thank you for coming to my humble
site, and I'll keep trying to find ways to amuse you. Oh,
and Happy belated Canada Day to my northern fans, and Happy
Independence Day to my fellow 'Merkins, which makes this
Thumb Your Nose at Britannia Week. :D
I wouldn't call this "amusement" as
much as "entertainment," but it's hot: this is
the first time I've found a YouTube video which warrants
a public link. Stevie Wonder does a fantastic, nearly seven-minute
live rendition of "Superstition," on Sesame
Street of all programs, allegedly back in the first season
(1969-70). Why don't they work that back into repeats
rotation?! (Because it's nearly seven minutes long, and the
Street's current audience doesn't have that kind of attention
span. Sigh.)
July 10,
2006: An actual ENT link: an ENT/Monty Python spoof, Captain
Archer and the Holy Grail. Plus this little computer
origami geek thing: How
to Make a Starship Enterprise Out of a Floppy.
July 17,
2006: Two TrinneerHammered updates this week: a one-paragraph
blurb on SGA's "No
Man's Land," and a full recap for "Michael." My
great thanks to Hoshissis, who provided many of the screencaps.
Warning: there are over 40 images in this recap, so if
you're still on dialup, it's going to take a little while
to load.
July 24,
2006: Added a blurb for SGA's "Misbegotten." Wrapped
up the storyline, but Michael himself got fairly short
shrift (although we did get to see Connor sans latex
again). Since his death wasn't confirmed, there's always
the chance
he could return.
Zeke very nicely passed on the new location
of Enterprise
Oddities, which was sorely missed. Thanks!
July 31,
2006: Find a chair
and get comfy: Star
Trek: Minutae has a long and extended list of
Trek parodies, lists, jokes, and images (I'm fairly sure
it's all clean, but I haven't checked every link, so be
advised), although it seems that it hasn't been updated
since VOY ended.
August
7, 2006: A Trip-centric Get
Me Rewrite!
August
14, 2006: Trip always brings out the best in the captions.
Keep 'em coming! In the meantime, I am lifting a link recommended
by Zeke: Star
Trek Inspirational
Posters, based on the Motivational (and the Demotivational)
posters which blight some offices. These are very funny, and if anyone is similarly
inspired
to throw some together for ENT, I'll be happy to post them.
August
21, 2006: Archer4Trip found a site which lets you create
your own motivational
posters. You can use photos from the official
site or places like TrekCore,
you supply the word or phrase and the "motivation," and
it creates the image. Send me your creations and I'll post
the best.
In the meantime, how many Trekkies does it
take to change a light
bulb?
Oh, and two different attendees at the Las
Vegas Creation con, where Connor and Dominic were both guests,
reported that Connor told the audience he was returning to
film another Stargate: Atlantis spot, as Michael.
No word yet on when or doing what. But yay anyway!

Trip: That stinkin sonofa -- he
hung up on me again, didn't he.
Soval: Yes.
Trip: Just because he's got a new
series --
Soval: The second, I believe.
Trip: Nobody could even see his face on Prison
Break! That doesn't count.
Soval: Nevertheless, he has severed our
connection.
Trip: Fine. Jus' fine. We'll just
have our get-together without our two-ridge-faced
friend. And what's he so damn excited about anyway?
He's one of nine leads in the new show.
He was one of seven with us. He'll get
less screen time.
Soval: Perhaps the emotional upheaval
of two successive roles has, I believe the vernacular
is, "swelled
his head"?
Trip: Ah'm gonna swell his lip if he hangs
up on me again.

August
28, 2006: Okay, I had way too much fun making
these posters.
The original link which Zeke mentioned used some lines
from his
site's fivers, so if you want to make your own hint
hint you can look for properly-credited inspiration
there.
September
4, 2006: You may remember that I've promoted a webcomic
called "Sheldon," drawn
by the funny and talented Dave Kellett. Recently the strip
ran a series about "Lame
Sci-Fi Characters," and I thought it was funny
enough to share with the rest of the class. Enjoy. In fact,
if you really enjoy it, email
Dave and tell him so.
I'm getting in quite a few ENT motivators,
and some BSG ones as well, to be posted next week. Keep 'em
coming!
September
12, 2006: My loyal readers come through! I've expanded
to a second page of ENT
Motivators with help from VFlick and Kelly. Thanks!
Please feel free to keep sending them -- and for any other
Trek series or even BSG if
you're so minded.
September
18, 2006: Gearing up for BSG2K's return in October
(sometime... still not sure when), we have a set of BSG
Motivators.
September 25, 2006: We have a few
more ENT motivators. Please
feel free to keep sending them if something strikes your
fancy.
October
2, 2006: Garsh, more actual ENT content! Dodo kindly
scanned pages from SFX magazine's October issue,
which contains a brand-new three-page interview with Connor
(page 1, 2, 3)
and four pages of complied interviews with Jolene (page 1, 2, 3, 4).
And to get us warmed up for the two-hour
premiere on Friday night, here's a BSG2K
Get Me Rewrite! Usual disclaimers apply.
October
9, 2006: Commentary for "Occupation/Precipice" is
up. A good, dense intro to the new chapter in the saga,
with some questionable moral choices on the part of heroes
and villains alike.
October 16, 2006: "Exodus,
part 1" commentary is up. I was listening to the
podcast for "Occupation/Precipe," and Ron Moore
introduces his wife, "Mrs. Ron," and "our
two new kittens," who proceed to knock things over
and mew in the background until she removes them. Then
the dog comes in. He has not a pompous bone in his body,
does he?
October
23, 2006: I was in fact able to put together my commentary
for "Exodus,
part 2" on time, as well as do some housekeeping
on the Off-Topic page.
I've broken out the commentaries for BSG2K's seasons 2
and 3 onto separate pages, since it was starting to get
unwieldy.
October
30, 2006: "Collaborators" commentary
up. Kind of a cleanup episode, moving things from point
A to B to set up larger arcs. An ENT Get Me Rewrite is
coming up.
October
31, 2006: Sheldon,
that web comic I keep plugging because it's really funny,
will be moving to its own server and off comics.com on November
7. New comics will appear on www.sheldoncomics.com,
which will no longer refer to the comics.com site. Five years
of archived cartoons will be available, plus you can buy
both books, so please stop by!
November
6, 2006: Commentary for "Torn" is up. Plus
we have a "Get
Me Rewrite!" starring Trip and Mal in their tighty-bluesies. Please
note: This is a PG-13 site. No crude or lewd punchlines,
please.
November
13, 2006: Commentary on "A
Measure of Salvation" is up.
November
20, 2006: Those crazy Diet-Coke-and-Mentos
guys are at it again -- only this time, it doesn't
merely fountain, it dominoes!
November
23, 2006: Here's the commentary for "Hero." No new episode this week, so the
next one should be on time.
November
27, 2006: Classic writes to let everyone know that
the Family
Guy episode
which Connor did, "The Road to Rupert," appears to be scheduled for
January 7,
2007, and that Connor's Michael Kenmore episode, "Vengeance," is the
penultimate SG:A for its season 3, airing in May or June. Thanks for the
updates! I will
post confirmations as the airings get closer.
December
3, 2006: Kneel
before Zod! And vote for him!
December
11, 2006: Connor did a
nice interview witih TheSciFiWorld.net,
talking about both ENT and SG:A, and we've also got a new
photo for "Those SHIRTS!"
December 15, 2006: A short commentary
on "The Passage," plus
a blurb on "Without a Trace" for TrinneerHammered.
December
18, 2006: That's more like it! I liked "Eye
of Jupiter" better than "The Passage," which
is not to say it didn't have its flaws. If Connor has any kind of a recognizable
role on "Family Guy" I'll put something up.
December
25, 2006: Even the Mythbusters guys
got into the Mentos and Diet Coke thing, in Episode 57.

It was a hell of a run, wasn't it,
my friend?
|
January 1, 2007: Since this is the time
of year for endings and beginnings, it seems appropriate
to make this transition now. ENT has been off the air for
a year and a half, and all the new content has been related
to other things. I think it's time to wrap this up. I will
not be making any more regular updates to TripHammered. I
could add material like the 800-odd limericks from the TrekBBS
threads, or the calendar pages I've done for the House of
Tucker, but it just feels like padding, and I'd rather go
out leaving people wanting more.
The site is not being taken down. I
will be leaving it online pretty much indefinitely, since
people are finding the series for the first time even now,
and the comments on the episodes are still relevant if you're
watching them. I'll add to TrinneerHammered when
Connor gets other work which qualifies, and post a notice
here. While I enjoy doing the BSG commentaries, the new air
schedule just doesn't give me the time to work on them.
I have met many wonderful people through ENT
and through TripHammered, and it has been a privilege to
entertain you. Long life and prosperity to everyone.
